Description of Course
This course is an introduction to the Fundamental design elements and principles in decorating interior spaces. Topics of functional and aesthetic elements for interiors are covered. Emphasis is placed on: needs and decisions, principles and elements of design and the selection and organization of furnishings, floor and wall coverings, window treatments, lighting, and accessories.
This course is designed to acquaint individuals with the necessary criteria to evaluate and analyze spaces, furniture styles and client-designer relationships.
Each student will work on various projects throughout the course.
