This exhibit includes the paintings and mixed media work of artist Diane Fraser.

com~ple~ment n. Something that completes, makes up a whole, or brings to perfection.

The intent of “Complements” is to present a series of parity between works. The equivalence is a product of my studio practice and unintentional. I work on several projects simultaneously.
Each project has an individual format and intent, however, over time works crossover and
connect via elemental qualities such as line, hue, value and pattern. A large painting reaches out to a small collage book and together they bring balance. I enjoy connecting select works
and look forward to having viewers react to the result.

Diane Fraser was raised and educated in Louisiana and Texas. She has been a full-time artist for 15 years.  Displaced from her Houston home and studio following Hurricane Harvey in 2017, she moved to Leander, Texas and for the past 3 years has rebuilt an art practice.  The transition has been positive. Being apart from the influences, distractions and expectations of the Houston art world, she has focused on personal artistic goals and interests.  The change in environment and surroundings directly inspires her work.
