Artist Talk — Symphony of Entities

May 16 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free
Wild Child

Please join us for an artist talk with Symphony of Entities exhibit artist.

JR Rapier, living in between Austin and Taos, naturally gravitated to drawing and painting as a child. Gradually through her life she grew more incumbent with her talent as a painter. With a BFA awarded from Texas Tech University, she spent 20 years art directing print and web campaigns in the spirit of design and illustration. Rapier’s earliest inspiration comes from Georgia O’Keefe. While O’Keefe is still her top favorite, she is inspired by Hieronymus Bosch, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, and Henri de Toulouse-Lantrec. Rapier vividly illustrates the power of spirituality through a poetic style of her own. She explores the human condition and inner child fantasies by illuminating emotional entities through her figurative work.

She will discuss her techniques, insights, and inspiration and you will have an opportunity to engage with your questions.
